Ballet Bun Tutorials

A dance class dress code is the equivalent of bringing a bat and glove to baseball practice or a football helmet to football practice. You wouldn’t come dressed in jeans to baseball, just like you wouldn’t come in shorts to ballet or without a bun. Please make sure your dancer arrives in correct dress code and correct hair for their respective classes. Ballet has the strictest dress codes. Please watch these videos if you need help making a ballet bun.

Class Descriptions & Dress Codes

The first two dress code violations will result in warnings. After that, dancers will not be permitted to participate in the class for as long as they are out of dress code. If families experience difficulty meeting dress code requirements, we are happy to work with you to find a solution. Be sure you are wearing the correct foot wear as well. Ballet Slippers, Jazz Slipper, Tap Shoes, Bare Feet, or Street Shoes depending on the style.

The only time you may be out of dress code is if you are here for your free trial class or if you are doing a make up class in a style that is not your usual style of dance. In these instances we ask that you try to match the dress codes as close as possible.

Solos/Private Lessons

If your dancers is taking a private lesson each week please use the dress code details/requirements that match the style they are working on or using for choreography focus. For example, if they are building a jazz solo please use jazz dress code details for the private class.  f your dancers is working on ballet technique for the class use the ballet dress code.
